Site seeing tour

Half-day Bangalore Trip:

iskonA half-day site seeing tour has been arranged in air-conditioned coaches/cabs on Feb 19 (Sunday) for registered participants of ACODS-2012 and their spouse, kids and friends to visit the historial city of Mysore on additional payment. This trip will cover the famous ISKON temple, Bull & Ganesha temple, Vidhan soudha & High court buildings (outside view), Tipu Sultan's summer palace, Siva temple @ Total mall (earlier known as Kemfort) and the Lalbagh garden.

The trip can be booked on payment of 1000 INR (approx. 20 USD) per person at the travel desk of the conference (this payment is not linked with the conference registration). Payments will be accepted only by CASH in INR until 5 PM of Feb 17. Children below 3 years can accopmany their parents for free, but no separate seat can be guaranteed. Children above 3 years will be charged full and a separate seat will be provided. No child/infant seat can be arranged...parents who need such facility should bring their own child/infant seats.

This trip will start around 10:00 AM and will culminate at approximely at 5-6 PM. Arrangment will be made for lunch, and evening snacks, both of which will include Indian vegetarian food with bottled mineral water (bottled mineral water will be provided inside the vehicle as well).

One-day Mysore Trip:

A one-day site seeing tour has been arranged in air-conditioned coaches/cabs on Feb 19 (Sunday) for registered participants of ACODS-2012 and their spouse, kids and friends to visit the historial city of Mysore on additional payment. Mysore is located at about 140 km from Bangalore and offers a host of attractive things to tourists, including the majestic Mysore palace, the hill-top Chamundi temple, the historical fort of Tipu Sultan (who faught vigorously with British army and is often linked with first inventor of "Rocket Science"), a nice and beautiful Church (used in some movies), a vibrant Brindavan garden (again a popular movie shooting spot) etc. People visiting Bangalore usually make a point to visit Mysore. Please note that this will be a full-day trip starting at 6:00-6:30 AM and will culminate at approximely at 10-11 PM. Arrangment will be made for morning breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner, all of which will include Indian vegetarian food with bottled mineral water (bottled mineral water will be provided inside the vehicle as well).

(1) These trips will be "free" for all invited plenary and keynote speakers and their spouses and children. Such speakers need not pay at the travel counter, but are requested to inform about their intension to travel along with their names as well as the names of their spouse and kids (if any) at the travel counter. This "free" offer is also valid for the IFAC Aerosapce Technical committee members.
